I totally dispise the drivers seat. My back hurts after 20 minsutes of driving. I am a big guy, well 52''chest and 33'' waist, and my shoulders dont even fit between the seats, and the lack of lumbar adjustment kills me. that or they need to add an adjustment to the seat bottom cushion.

With the EVO you get grouped in with the rest of the riceboy's. Who, in general are considered rude and inconsiderate of others. In fact one of my co workers told me "that's an *******s car". With most EVO owners I have found this to not be the case.

The EVO is an easy car to drive slow and easy to drive fast but right in the middle it's not.

The paint quality is ****.

Depuety dog likes the evo. Police escorts are nice everywhere I go. Makes me feel safe.

The shifter is rubbish.

On colder mornings it takes a good few miles for the stock tires to warm up.

I dont understand why everyone's disliking the gas-mileage. Its a performance car! It was not meant to get good gas mileage, civics were. During the week I tend to keep my foot out of it, and I was on track to get 25+mpg. I had 250 miles on the tank and an 1/8 of a tank left, but I filled up again while 93 was 2.97!!!

I dont see why everyone's complaining about not having a boost guage, it doesnt appear there was enough room in the cluster for it (only small spot left was where it sais "lancer"), and everyone would have *****ed having to buy a 400$ boost guage option (like most of the WRX's came with) OR they would have *****ed about how innacurate it was, and that they went out and bought an aftermarket one! (this has almost always been the case on factory equipped boost guages)

I agree on the cruise conrol option, but should it be too hard to retro-fit one from a regular lancer? I would love to have cruise on my 45 minute one-way drive to work

The seat fits me like a glove. Its the first aftermarket seat I have loved. Most everything else I've sat in, feels like it bulges out a bit on my lower back, causing it to start hurting.

Robbing power when the AC is on? What car doesnt do this? Typical cruising its going to rob power, but at WOT it should* have a switch that disengages the clutch on the compressor.

I can definately see two taco bell cups being an issue......I havent had many passengers yet

Explain how the shifter you feel, is rubbish? Mine is an 03 and shifts very crisply into place. Maybe it wasnt abused by its first owner, i dunno.

Jgunz.... It sounds like you should be driving a caddy, not an Evo

My car is new and has 1700 miles. All driven by me. The shifter lacks the positive and smooth feel of many other cars I have driven.

I completely and absolutely agree!!!
The seats are awesome, the shifting mechanism is fabulous (just warm it up before you drive and get the lube nice and evenly mixed), and at least THERE ARE CUPHOLDERs (porsche didn't introduce those until recently!)

We have the OPTION of payng $493 for a gauge cluster including the boost gauge, but really, I've never needed it. . .I didn't in my last car that FREQUENTLY ran 16psi and put down 380fwhp (yeah, it was a beast), and I certainly don't in this. . .I've contemplated it for sure, but most people can shell out $110 for a Defi and get a little ghey steering wheel pod put in. . .

The EVO is damn amazing for the money, and I don't think anyone can argue otherwise. . .sure you can get a subie for cheaper, but it's a freaking SUBARU, reliably ugly.

Hey! I launch when I have to. OK. LOL
I dont launch it all the time unless someone makes me mad on the road or street. (i get roadrage easily). Challengers at the redlight. Even if the tranny breaks its worth it if you win.
