stop and go driving and clutch wear!!!

the more you push on the clutch, the more wear you will get. proper shifting technique will help, but it's still hard when you spenda lot of time in first gear. how much traffic in honduras anyway?

you live in Honduras? isn't there alot of bike traffic there? what is the weight to mass ratio of car vs bike? Dont stop, keep flipping bike riders over your hood and you'll get more miles on your clutch, and maybe the bikeriders can invest in rearview mirrors! My2c

Don't get your Huggies in a bunch my friend, it is just the yankee humor comming out. It all depends on how you drive the car, and the clutch is the weak-link in the evo. Mine went south (no pun intended)at 5K miles, and some have 40K miles on it (stock). Just dont slip it alot!

Well I have heard all of the horror stories about stock clutches going early in our cars as I am sure you have if you spend any time on this board. My personal experience is that I have over 30K on mine and it seems to be holding up just fine. As far as stop and go driveing goes, that is about all I do here being that I live in DC one of the most congested areas in the country and drive 60 mile round trip to work every day.
That being said I am still early on in the mod process and have done little to the car to increase power output.
