I don't see any reason to bust the bank on jackstands. As long as they're positive locking (they all are these days) and have a capacity higher than what you need, you'll be fine. However, shelling out some extra $$$ for a good jack is worth it.

I have a Walmat jack and stands and I haven't had a problem with them. Just make sure they are rated for the weight you need.

I have a walmart 3ton jack and it works fine. I dont give it enough use to justify going out and buying an expensive one.

I just bought their pair of jackstands....good quality...I trust my life on them.

Why do people always think Walmart stuff is crappy?

The reason the items are cheap is they streamlined their inventory system with their supplier to save costs and passes it on to the consumer. I did a massive business school study on Walmart...in fact the jackstands are obviously made by a third party...Craftsman is a SEARS brand...so it's actually made by SEARS...

Not buying the same product from Walmart b/c it's just cheaper is just plain stupid...its like saying I'll never buy Mobil 1 Synth Oil from Walmart and prefer to pay $2 extra a quart at the autoparts store for the same product.... In fact, Walmart probably have the "freshest" Mobil 1 on their shelves...once again due to their inventory system. If you dont' believe me, do your own research on Walmart.
