Evo Owners how much do I need to make to be able to afford EVO

This is the worst possible place to ask this question.
There are only two people who can determine whether or not you can afford the car:
-you
-your wife
Write up a budget plan and see how much you have left each month. Then subtract the monthly payment for your EVO (start working a few deals to get an idea of what this payment will be -- but negotiate the price of the car -- not the monthly). Also subtract gas, regular maintenance, etc. Can you and your wife live with what you have left?
Posting a bunch of numbers means absolutely nothing. You have to take everything into consideration. Do your kids go to private school? Do you have a drug habit to support? Do you eat out a lot? Do you spoil your kids? Do you pay for lawn care? Do you get manicures every week?
You can take two different households with the exact same income and end up with one that can afford the car and one that can't. In the end, what you do with the money you have left over each month will ultimately determine what you can afford.

I make 67k and my wife make 83K. Our house payment is 2,500/month. I put down 6k with 0% finanace, so the evo payment is like 450/month. We have 4runner for the family and evo for fun.

I currently have a 00 SI and thinking about trading it in. I just need to know how expensive it can be to have a stock Evo or how more I need to make in order to get one.
just cut back on some other expenses and get yourself and evo. time to have some fun!!

Is your SI paid off? Well, see if you can put $500-600/month of cash away for a few months without altering your futre finances (savings, life ins, etc.). If you plan on having kids, then I'd suggest talking with the wife.
Although, I got rid of my EVO for the sake of my family. The EVO isn't much more expensive than other cars nowadays.

I don't own one yet either and feel as though it will be a while because of the general maintance costs that I have read about, along with the payment and insurance. I am going to eventually go the large down payment route.
It sound like you could make it work though. Your children could get jobs as chimney sweeps, at least until they got to big to crawl through the chimneys'. Maybe your wife could get another job to, tell her that if she really loved you she would do it.

J/K. First start a college fund for your kids if you haven't already. Save 10g for a downpayment and keep the SI as a daily driver. You'll finance 25g and then you can insure the car as a non primary maybe saving a little $. Thats having you cake and eating it to.
Just to warn you though, I am an idiot, ask my GF.
