Evo Owners how much do I need to make to be able to afford EVO
#46
It's not about how much you make, it's about how much you spend. I make roughly 48K in Chicago. The only things I have to pay for is rent (800), credit card (~300) and my other car (210). That leaves me with about 1600 a month. Minus the evo and insurace, I have about 1000 left which is a good cushion. Calculate your monthly income - monthly expenses. Then subtract about ~800 (evo+insur). And see what you have left. If you have kids, I wouldn't go less than a 1000 per month as a cushion.

Wow, some of yall are not understanding. He has a wife and 2 kids and a house mortage + other bills.
Dude, put your family first. If you can truely afford it with no financial problems, go for it. It's just a car, there will be plenty more in the future.
P.S. Don't forget gas, try 3.25 a gallon for 91

Your question should really be, "how much sacrifice does a low income person need to make in order to afford an evo?" I don't make a whole lot, but after a year of saving everything, I was good to go. Modding has left me with so much CC debt, etc.
