Depends a lot on where you live too. Even a good townhouse around here is over $500K, so you've got to factor in many other things besides just income. If made $70K in Iowa, that's probably enough to live the high life. Here that's just cost of living...

yeah, my Evo's paid off too, and frankly if I couldn't do that, I wouldn't buy it. IMO it's not worth it if you really have to struggle. Much better to buy a house, save up some money for really important stuff. Pay all CCs, bills, etc. and THEN indulge yourself.

26yr, 35k, single, reasonable apartment in Houston, TX with nothing else to spend my money on. . .income should be tripling when I graduate though, so I can pay the EVO off faster, but I only financed 23k, so it's not hurting me too much. . .

23 yrs old, ~39k/ yr, live on my own in a 2 bedroom place, just bought my Evo a few weeks ago (witn 0%). Girlfriend comes and goes, she's in college and makes like -$40k/ yr.
