The Evo is a stiff car from the factory and is also not very well insulated. My car made some small noises from the first day I had it. Just a trade off you have to make for slot car like handling. However if you feel your noise is excessive, go to your dealer and complain. Warranty!

the noise is prob from the pillars- (front, middle, rear)- mine started "rattling/squeaking" after about 100 miles- I was going to dynamat, but didnt want the weight. so........... heres what I did:
1. went to michaels (or a craft store) and bought black felt sheets.
2. spray glue (super 77 or 90 is fine for this)
3. pulled all the pillars
4. cut the felt, tacked it to the metal in the car
5. when you cut the slots for the 30,000 interior, use a razor blade and just make 1 slit where the plastic and or metal snaps in-
Havent heard anything since!!

Yeah bro I had expected a lot of cabin noise but the lack of insulation suprised me. I intend on lightly upgrading the audio so I'm certain the door panel rattling will only get worse. I had the same problem in my last car (rsx type-s) and I ended up pulling the panels off and painting the bare metal portion of the paneless exposed door and the inside of the door with v3 from elemental. It worked great, in fact I had a set of CDT components up front and got zero rattling. I still have a ton of v3 left so I plan on treating my evo's panels the same.
