With the K&N, you do hear the turbo more, but only after you do the exhaust to to help get it out the backend faster. I did the K&N first and didn't notice a difference, after I did my exhaust, I hear the turbo more.

What are the performance gains if someone adds a drop in K&N filter? I know someone said 1 to 2 tenths of a second but how much more power? I'm just wondering if it will be noticeable.

There is no way to hear your turbo with stock intake. you need to change the intake. once you change it to the after market one, other drivers will hear your turbo and bov sound too.
