i thought about doing that. it really seems rediculous to let the thing sit there when i pay that much for it. but i already put 17,000 miles on it in 5 months.

although ive never actually had a car for more than 3 years. i'll probably be driving it next winter.just have to get one good summer out of it after the mods.

is a c6 vette faster than a 97 viper? i've got a bet going with a guy with the viper. he let me drive it, and i know it was faster than my evo... but this spring will be different. and you are already killing c6 vettes with what you have in your car, i may have a damn good chance.

Yea I hear you on the high milage thing.. I put 47,000 miles on my VW R32 in 1 year, traded it in for the Evo and put 7,000 miles on in 1.5 months.. Driving > all

i dont know what i was thinking when i said 97. it's an 01, but that should be the same anyhow. a whole second is nothing to shrug off. that's pretty significant. with the stuff i have i'm rated for 420whp, BUT we wont see it until the spring so who knows.

the viper has headers and a borla. he road races it alot and is a great driver so i probably wont be passing him at the glen, but i would REALLY like to line up with it even if just for fun... but that much better if he has to read my license plate!

haha thanks. hopefully i'll have video! this rich guy comes in the bar i work at and he has an 02? diablo. (he said i could drive it! but i havent been around at the right time.) i asked if he would take it to the track, but he said "thats like dragging a $250,000 house"

yeah, i can understand that.

i dont have anything installed yet asdie from the new clutch/flywheel... but

now that the trannie is back in the car we might start bolting the manifold on. we had to fit it first to make sure everything cleared ok and it is REAL tight in there.

A C6 runs between 13.2 and 12.6 depending on traction and driver, should not be a problem from a stop or roll. A Viper GTS will rarely break into the 12's but they have crazy trap speeds, I would not recommened racing it from a roll.

Forgot to add, the Carrera S can hit mid 12's at 110-114mph due to its mid-engine smashing the tires to the ground. The Evos AWD really doesn't have an advantage.

i learn as i go, and i think you're just playing, but with a set up like this, externally gated, what other choice would i have? unless you're talking about the o2 dump tube... whick will NOT be circulated into the exhaust. THAT will be wide open.

i figure that's what you meant, but i would hate to miss something.

there's still alot of things i don't know and i'm not embarrassed to ask questions.
