Why is the UK MR so much more powerful
Does any body know what parts are on the UK to make it so much more powerfull yet still very reliable. I was watching Top Gear and them brits were talking about their evos and i was just curious as to what parts make them that much more powerful.I would like to base me evo 9 after their mods because i have to drive mine to school and work everyday.

They have certain models, fq 300 fq330 fq400, a few others i think aswell. Which all come with the related HP, they are opened up from the factory, with the normal mods here you would buy here. Like the 400 has a huge turbo, from what i watched on top gear anyway.

U.S. doesn’t want powerful imports to ruin their American made cars reputations so they will not allow any other import companies to produce such powerful cars and sell them in U.S. However, they can allow 1964 rustangs w/ 400 horses on the street because they are American made. When imports got that much power, it becomes street illegal and so called "dangerous" so in short f#@* american government because they are haters and that is why we don’t see any FQ EVOs in U.S.

thats basically it, the US has to many strict rules fo japanese imports. if these rules werent around we would have fq evos and skylines. just because we cant get them from the dealership high HP doesnt mean we cant do it ourselves

Reason is we Have Stric Emissions laws. IT just so happens that most all japanese supercars require the use of large turbo in small displacment motors. that makes them run very dirty.
It's easy to make 400+ horses with 8 cylinders.
I remember looking at the EPA chart on the Evo and it was all the way over on the emmissions scale while my old vette was opposite side.
