new Evo 9 or used mercedes c32 amg
Both are about the same price (2002 c32 ~$30k). If I get the Evo I would not do anything to void the warranty, if I get the c32 I'd do the basic boost bump (pulley) and chip == 109-110 trap speed. I know most here would be evo biased, but anyone think I should go for the c32?

it all depends on wat u want. The benz is a pretty quick car but nuttin compared to the performance of an Evo< its a tru street enthusiast car. If u want some luxury, obviously the Benz.

I used to own an AMG C36 several years ago. It was a fun spirited car to drive but dollar for dollar you are going to enjoy the evo ix much much more. just my .02c

But if you want an automatic that runs well and you don't want to worry about shifting, then go and get the C32. But be prepared for expensive maintenance costs. Look at some of the classifieds, a lot of them have had their trannies replaced. The thing about those cars is that even the little things are expensive to replace on those cars. I like the C32, don't get me wrong, but if you are going to spend that kind of money, spend it on the Evo.

I had alot of fun with my C32, it had a Renntech Stage 2, H&R coilovers, and Evosport swaybars. If you get the C32 make sure you have warranty My s/c took a dump at 42,000 miles. If it was not under warranty it would have been around $3k installed. The C32 is a superior highway cruiser, it really depends on what you want from the car...they are quite different.

when the benz is out of warrenty its gonna be 115$ an hour to fix...but at the same time amg motors are hand built and one of the most reliable motors so shouldn't have any problems...the mitsu has never been driven by anyone...i would perfer to have a brand new car.... check ur insurance costs...i would base it off that...i just got my new quote of 3900! oh and the evo is manual...benz is auto....which do u perfer? if i were you consider a s4, 2004 there nice and i think a combo of the evo and benz...there fast, sporty, luxury and fast enough stock....
cheers

I don't own either, but I've driven an Evo IX and a 2005 C55 AMG. Even though the C32 and C55 are different cars, they have the same chassis but different engines (supercharged 3.2-liter V-6 vs. 5.5-liter V-8). The C55 is a fun car to drive, but it doesn't feel as fast as the Evo IX. So considering the fact that the C55 replaced the C32, the C32 is probably a little slower.
Just go for the Evo for the reasons already stated. Chances are, the warranty on the C32 doesn't have much time left on it while you'll have a 10 year warranty with the Evo, and since you don't plan on modding it, warranty work shouldn't be that difficult to do, if needed.

Basicly I'm looking for fun, reliable and quick daily driver that will last me a few years without having to do any major work. Looks like the Evo fits the bill the best.
