I definitely play safe. I've already taken three weekend long driving/racing schools at various tracks around California and am not a street racer. If anyone is interested, the Race Factory is doing another event at I think Buttonwillow or Willow Springs this May (2006). I'll be there for certain.

 

The way to figure your parts is to do the research. Everyone on here runs different parts and has different opinions. Some will tell you there is only one vendor that has great parts or only use this exhaust. Buschur, AMS, TT, Vishnu are all great shops in there own right, there are many others out there. I personally love AMS, but Buschur makes one of the best & lightest TBE on the market. The best advice anyone can give you is to read and search before you ask. Welcome and good luck.

The cheapest parts are not always the best. Choose whatever you want, it's your car.

Evom is great for info but dont let other people build your car.

I know all well that cheap parts tend to suck. I've been modding cars for well over a decade and usually go for the best i can find without being sucked into some big name brand who rapes my wallet.

So far I'm looking into parts from AMSTUNED.com , Buschur Racing, and when the owner (and good friend of mine) of www.supremepowerparts.com gets back from Brazil, i'm going to see what he can do for me for modding the car. While he specializes in Audi, BMW, MB, and other euro's.... he definitely has hookups with other manufactuers.


And yes..... i'm reading like crazy way before i go buy anything for this car....

.... and my new head unit. My subs, amp, turbo timer, V-One, and a few other parts from my formerly deceased Audi are going to be used on this car.
