Chrome is fine, but you just have to get the right wheels. So far the ones posted above look great. The silver Evo with the Advans are smoking!
Chrome is pretty flashy and flamboyant, so if I did chrome, I'd wanna be pack'n 500hp to make up for the flashiness.

Chrome rims get pitted easily, and weight a ton. I used to have some on my prelude for about 3 years and they will look nice for a couple of months and then start to goto snitz after that.

I would like to know what wheels those are as well, as well as how much they go for and where they can be gotten. Also if they come in anything besides chrome. Although I'm sure the wifey would like the chrominess, she's a bit of a ricer at heart. But yeah, those are pure sex!

Wow I thought I would hate the chrome on the Evo, but I must admit that does not look bad.

Not diggin' the chrome. I really like the wheels that come with all stock EVOs actually (my 8 and the 9's and MR's). The look just fits the car. I think chrome is for cars that need attention... but an EVO gets attention anyways... I like chrome on old american muscle cars and hotrods... not on EVO's of STi's etc. It somehow just doesn't fit (IMHO).
EDIT: I need to take some of that last comment back. I just saw those wheels on that AMS car on page 2... looks pretty nice. I think they look good because they're slim and sleek. I don't like big clunky shiny chrome on japanese cars.
