seems like most guys on this board have evo 7/8/9's, i dont see many posts from evo I-VI owners,... are there any on here? hope so, as i prefer the shape of the IV-VI evos personally.. although the newer models are very nice too!

Evo I-VII were never imported to the US, therefore the only way to have one over here, is to import it, convert it, legalize it, or don't drive it on the streets. Not something that is very inexpensive.

Not really I would assume, I've seen a VI I believe once in my lifetime. Thought is was a fake, like a Mirage with a bodykit, so got really close and it was an EVO VI, other than that, never seen any older models. I know there are some in the states, but not a lot.

If you want, it is possible to legalise an older evo. I knew of a guy who legalised his VI TME in Maine.

dont you think that the evo V and VI are more aggressive looking (than the 8 & 9) as well?

my personal favorite is the VI, but like the other posters have stated...it's not cost-effective to have one of the I-VII imported rather than buying a brand new IX.

yeah my favourite is the evo 6 too. one of a kind. for some reason i prefer the styling on the evo8's and 9's in the US compared to the styling of the 8/9's in the UK though.

It cost a lot, because you would have to buy two of the same evos and crash test one. I was going to import an rx7 fd (3rd gen) but I did some research and found out buying two rx-7's isnt worth one import......

I don't think there is a way to own a truly street-legal import Evo I-VII in this country.
