Yes, catback for VIII should fit fine on IX's. Just make sure you get the one that has o2 sensor bung on it if you are planning to get a test-pipe or high flow cat.

if you dont want to run an 02 simulator get the test pipe with the fitting for the manual fix.

anyone one else have comments regarding the 2.75" DP instead of the 3"? from what ive heard the 3" is very close to the ACD causing more heat on the downpipe. i havent been able to sleep over this. also what do people recommend on upgrading the 02housing?

only complaint I have about the Helix would be that it comes a bit close to the inner side of the bumper and mine is beginning to melt.. and yes I have already messed with the hangers and it's alot better, but it's still melting a bit. I have about 4 mm clearance. 8 exhausts will fit on 9's as long as you plug up the o2 bung on the midpipe since the o2 sensors on 9's are on the cat and not the exhaust.

But doesn't the Tanabe exhaust neck down in multiple places to 2.5"? I know it does in the muffler section.

I would think the DP would cause more heat to the ACD. Not vice versa.

I highly recommend the Concept G blue.

I was sold after looking at the piece. IT does neck down a little bit, but it looks like they had to for fitment issues. it does fit perfect though. The pressed flanges and the hollow hangers are pretty sick too. as for sound, i couldnt be happier, i have heard my evo friends exhausts and theyre obnoxiously loud, i dont know how they can stand it everyday. the sound is just the sex.
