Using Noodle's thread I was successfully able to realign my right headlight. Using the same method on the left headlight I got no results though. Other people mention the other adjusters which should be used instead, but on my car they are covered with metal plates. I took it to the dealership and they were pretty much useless.

I did both of mine, and it was quick and easy. If you have the Hid's i know it work for, but the regular halogens may be setup different. There are adjustments that have a 10mm bolt on them, they turn both the fogs/highs and the lows. Everyone has stripped their plastic teeth off doing it this way, i did it another way.
There are two phillips #2's holding the gear on for the low beam adjustment. Once that is off, pull the head of the gear off and look inside. There is a metal adjustment inside there, either 4mm or 3/16" i can't remember which one it was, but stick the socket you need a deep one, to get inside there, then use 1/4" drive wrench and adjust the headlight that way. This was the best way to do it, without fear of screwing up the gears.
However, becareful, so you do not actually pull the adjustment cable out of the bottom of the low beam assembly as it is a PITA to get back on.
Now, park about 25' away from a wall and tape off your lines for the lows and the highs, then proceed to adjust.
Once you have your lows set, use your 10mm and adjust the fogs/highs on the headlight itself.
This took me 30 mins or so to get everything right. Good luck

The headlight adjustment is not the same on non-HID IXs and HID VIIIs and IXs.
I was looking under the hood of my friend's IX GSR yesterday to see if you could potentially adjust the headlights. Looking at the driver's side headlight I noticed a black sprocket gear that could possibly be turned by hand, with a cable that connected to another sprocket gear. I didn't get a closer look or attempt to adjust the headlights, but it appears to be the same type sprocket that the HID equipped Evos have to adjust the beam. You might try that, and sorry I don't have any pics.

bump for more info.....
just installed HID kit in mine with oem halogen projectors (i have a IX gsr), and the right beam is shooting farther than the left.....kinda weird.
need to raise the left one a bit but not sure how to. is it possible to do it without taking out anything? (bumper, headlights)
so do i just turn the gear with a 10mm?
thanks.
