Just had to tow my EVO at 3,500 miles
I just got back from spending about 3 hours getting my EVO towed to the dealership. I'm driving down the road and it starts sputtering like it is just running out of gas but it had three quarter of a tank. Anybody have any idea why this would happen at 3.5K miles?

I just got the oil changed about 200 miles ago. I noticed on the freeway this morning that it was running a little rough at around 5K rpms (100-110 mph).

I had a similar issue that also required a tow to the dealer. It turned out to be an intercooler coupling that popped off. Did you get a check engine light? Hopefully it's just that. Very quick fix.

It's a good idea to always carry a ratchet and socket/wrench/screwdriver/etc and a flash light in your Evo @ all times. Saved myself a few times already, in fact.. it happened on my way to work the other night (and I just happened to be late already ).

Thanks guys; the car is already sitting at the dealer but now I'm not so worried that its something major. I just got my APS exaust system from Japan so hopefully I'll still be installing it tomorrow.
