8000k vs. 10000K

Please try not to flame me for making a new thread about this.. just had an opionated question which i feel i didnt get much answers for by searching.

I'm a ricer i want "cooler" headlights for my MR. It comes with 4300K stock because that bulb produces the Most lumins(sp?). The higher in K (kelvin) you get.. closer you get to "black light" thus getting less visiblity.

I was preffering to get either the 8000k bulbs or the 10,000K bulb. My friend had a 350z with 10,000K.. and the visiblity wasnt poor at all. Yes it wasnt as bright on the road at night but didnt impair your sight at night. Ive read some people say 10,000 is too much it is impossible to see at night, your better off getting 8000K.. that should be the most. Others have said 10,000 is just enough to see at night.

If you had the choice between the 2 bulbs which one would you pick?

I wouldent buy neither, but for sake of your thread I would say the lesser of the to two, when you wreck you 40k MR because you cant see you wont look so cool. If you want some color tint to you HID's go for like some 6k's

I got the Techone 8000k kit on my IX GSR. Someone with a 06 IX SSL told me my hid's looked hard. I'm guessing he wasnt pleased with his oem hids haha.

8000k is a deep blue with purple color to it. Looks great but if I could get another set. I'd go with 6000k. Best of both worlds, of color and lighting output.

hey do what you want but i just dont understand why you would want less lighting...i feel i want brighter lights. i make alot of highspeed runs though so i feel it is important to be able to see far ahead. but hey to each thier own

I changed put my oem bulbs for 8000k and many people have told me that my lights are much brighter now. There is a major color difference though.

I think 6000K will be the perfect way to go if u want some cool color and enough light to see at night! 8000K and 10000K is just for show i think!

My buddy has 10k fogs and headlights on his lightning and the output rocks imo, I know they're two diff headlight designs but the road lights up better then my stock non-hid lights.
