Question Octane Fuel Of 101

just a silly question here. has anyone try 101 octane fuel on their stock evo 9 or 8
in their car? well as i was filling up my car i saw at another gas station saying racing gas only.. that got my attention to see, not only that its 6.19 per gallon ouch.... by the way i'm from C.A in Los Angeles and gases here r not cheap. i just wanna know is it safe or will u feel a differences even its stock???

what......you dont think i kno what im talking about .... 101 with a tune for it will generate 25 bhp

I don't think he was talking about tuned for 101 just putting in the tank

some people kill me when they just spout off at the mouth and think they know everything. 101 oct is a better burnig fuel. You will not be able to tell a diff. but it is safe to run. Now with a tune it would be a good way to go.

You'll be able to take advantage of it if you use an MBC and raise the boost as well as being tuned.

well i was thinking of filling 3/4 full of 91 octane than the rest will be 101. i hope i didn't start a comotion here...?

with no tuned car, 101 octane should make you car pull less timing and less knock.

With a stock system your car will advance the timing more which will give you a slight increase in power. Since you are in California and you can only get ****-91 oct then adding 101 will raise your octane and will maximize your stock power potential. Go for it.

When I was filling up at a Sunoco station this weekend (94 octane FTW!!), I noticed that they had 116 octane race fuel as well!

I was so tempted to try it out except that I figured it would be money thrown down the drain as I'm on a stock IX.

Plus, it was something like $6.29 a gallon, and they only took cash - no credit cards, so I couldn't have afforded it anyway!

ive never seen race fuel here but if i did id fill up one time to see how its like
