Ressurecting the Dead...

Well thought i'd introduce myself and show you guys my evo.... I can't wait till its done, i'll get more pics up tonight. These were basically taken after I stripped the front end and all of the sound dampening material from inside the car. After these pictures the car went to the body shop to get cut up and a new front end on the car.

ah no no no, far from done, those pictures are old. Yep ground up. Here's more pictures, just got the camera from the lot. Long story short, I have sort of a sponsor thing set up with renton walkers mitsubishi, they get me parts at a very low cost. The tranny was shot, the outer case was split, but we picked up a new one for 600 I believe. Its a non active 5sp. I believe the two inner fenders, radiator support and a piece of the firewall ran us like 1200 plus another 1600 for labor to replace and straighten the car. And yes the car is 100% straight, our body guy uses a sonar measuring system, pretty crazy ish...

After that the full shell was stich welded... Everywhere, haha. And then a 38 pt cage..... Oh and there's the 34mm restrictor we are required to run...

oh why thank you, i'll take that as a compliment. Cutting off the old front end was a *****. As far as a the roll cage I must applaud Dave Clark for doing an amazing job. He does A good amount of work in the northwest as far as a rally cars go. Glad you guys like it, can't wait for my baby to be ready to race....

Here's some interior pics after it was painted. I seam sealed the living hell out of it, if I get any dust leaks in this car I'll definately be pissed. On the last rally, last stage, I had the windows cranked up (not allowed to roll them down while running at speed on a special stage), the galant was over-heating so I had the heat cranked up and I had dust pouring in from the beat up floor boards... it was close 90 degrees outside

No, Cascade AutoSport is owned by Pete Vanboughart, I think thats how you spell his last name. Dave Clark is a very talented fabricator that works out of his shop in kent.
