yeah, the dealerships are kinda finicky when it comes to stuff. if you get the wrong one, and they can link the code to any modification, no matter how small, they black list you and your warranty is done.

ask them. my guess is that you knocked something loose. Like perhaps the mass airflow sensor plug or something. That's the only thing that's near the airbox that I can think of. Also, if you didn't disconnect the battery after you put in the filter, you could've set yourself up for the code. However, I'd pull the code before I disconnected the battery, so at least you knew what it was.

so you connect the cord to your car(below the steering wheel around where your right knee would be) and scan your car. when the code comes out, look in the manual, which has a description of the problem. and if you're still confused, post the code in this thread and someone can help you out.
