Check your oil often during the break in and maybe get an early oil change with the normal stock fluids. You don't want to go super slipery until you've broken it in :P.

 

I cant stop Speeding in my car ... i have 486 Miles on it .

Until now i redlined it once .

So at what mileage does the EVO engine usually break in. And is it ok to Install the Buschur Kit stage one at 1000 Miles. or shall i wait more.
I need a mean sounding Exhaust system.

 

Got mine in Aug. and it feels faster everyday as I get used to it and the power band. Give it some time before you mod. Enjoy!

Same here.. Just got the spare tire out of my trunk ..

In my 350z.. the spare tire made a difference when i took it out

Hope it does the same with the EVO

Finally.. after a sweat and tears searching for the best exhaust.. i decided to go with the buschur TBE, is it really the best around? didnt find anysound clips.

I need a mean sounding Exhaust... that doesnt Rasp.

Right now Buschur is on my highest priority! dont know if i want to go with their Air Intake. yet the air intake is something that i want to search about .. weird that there is not alot of threads that rate Air intake... ( all air intake give the same HP, but which sounds, looks, Etc.. better )

 

A boost gauge is a must. That was my first mod. I wanted to know where I am at with boost before I changed anything. If my boost is abnormal I would know since I know what the factory boost on "MY" Evo is.

 

Boost gauge Kit already came with the car ( factory Gauges )
so that i dont have to worry about
am going today to get a K&N drop in Filter. Good Idea ? or shall i stay stock filter

 

Don't buy k&n 2 oily, also exhaust wise check w buschur and see if they got a newer version 2 their dp. When i was buying my tb they did not have 1 that cleared the acd. I ended up w a 3'' ultimate racing dp. U want loud sounding exhaust get a hks or greddy ti cat-back. Try on the search (exhaust clips) u should find some.

so today i was cruising and saw a 350z and an audi TT at the traffic light with an empty lane in the middle waiting for me
took both of them out .... i felt bad for the 350z . wanted him to catch up with me as i am an ex 350z owner.. i have my evo for bout a week now and i still cant do the launch right, it lags.

But anyways now i have 500 miles on my evo.. i guess its enough for the ' Break in ' dont you think
