You got a lot more searching to do homie, don't make such rash desisions. Stop posting in this thread, and keep reading. Don't buy anything for 6 months or you will regret it.

You didn't break your car in right, and the worst possible thing you could have done is try and launch it with that low of miles on it. You WILL be getting a new clutch before 15,000 miles; better start saving now.

I guess i will be helpful in one way: search for the Warrtalon/Buschurracing package. Either buy the package, or duplicate it with different brands; it includes the exact mods you want to go with first.

Oh, and no matter how they look; driving in the snow with your Advans is a stupid desision.

Thumbs up

Yeah son.....you want to really spend some time researching parts before buying anything. During this time LEARN YOUR CAR.....you'd be surprised how many new EVO owners get into trouble because they grossly underestimate the power of the car. I implore you take the time to learn the car. DON'T be stoplight racing.........it is DANGEROUS and not good for your car with only 500 miles on it. Like said before you will buying a replacement clutch before long. There is a lot of fun to be had (SAFELY) with this car at a track once you have learned the car.....take the time to learn.....you will be thankful that u did.

You didn't like your Z because you did not go the TT which is the obvious route you could have taken since you ended up with a Evo anyways. First mod? I say air freshener if it's a daily

thanks for taking part on my thread....

right now i have 1500 Miles on my car ... and the exhaust wont go on untill i put 500 more miles on my car ..

and for the snow tires..... I am leaving the US, and my car is going to be parked in a climate control storage unit for around 2 months... so i dont need the Tires..

and for the break in time..... i only redlines my car twice in the first 750 Miles

I am a noob in but i am not a noob in how to take care of my cars

I talked to Mits Dealer and they told me that there is no specific time or mileage for Breaking in the car.

Breaking in the car is Old news , I am almost 1600 miles on my car

I NEED to Lower my car.. researching this forum , I found out that springs is not the way to go , instead Coilovers is my only way to safely lowering the car
is what i founf true? and if so .... what do most people do to get their EVOs lowered safely

Whats Next?

Thinking about getting an OIL CATCH CAN , What do you Guys recommend..
I did some searching .... and everyone recommends the DC3.
I need one that WORKS, looks good and easy to install, as i still have my Stock air box.

Shall i even THINK or CONSIDER a stroker Kit on my EVO?

a little late dude...

from what i hear if you don't want to spend the money on coilovers, swift makes some springs that are MR bilstein shock specific which work very well. I think they drop around 1" all around. someonce correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't think an oil catch can will be helpful at all really. any blow by gets burned up anyways. It's mostly just a bling accessory.

IMO I'm the kind of person who believes in not fixing it if it ain't broken. If your stock block is perfectly fine why beef it up now? Beef it up after you have a huge turbo waiting or your stock block does blow.

You did bad research YET AGAIN.

You definitely seem to do the research, but it seems you already make up your mind before hand, and only pick out the few posts that agree with what is stuck in your head; even though the majority says it's the wrong thing to do.

Springs are the only way to lower an Evolution without lowering its handling capabilities from stock for under $2000. There are coilovers for over $2k that will improve your handling and probably lower your car as well, but anything offered for the evolution at a cheaper price isn't improving handling, regardless of what people say; it is a PROVEN fact by the premier Evo chassis tuning expert Robi.

Though yes, you can find a thread on here where everyone is agreeing and sucking each other off about their Ebay brand Megan coilovers. Does that make it right? No. check out www.robispec.com ; what is offered on his site are your ONLY OPTIONS other than Ohlins, but i don't think you are ready to go there yet. Though you can find the same parts he uses at cheaper prices elsewhere.

Many vendors will beg to differ... Odviously.

I drove a 350z, the Evo out performs it in every category. You mean the 350z is no way near the Evo? Which I wouldn't say is true but the Evo is definetly faster, better handling, responds better to mods, and it's cheaper (RS).

Good First Mods - Blitz TBE, RMO1A Fujitsubo Cat Back, K&N drop in, and a good tune.
