New here, had some questions
Hi, everyone, I'm in the market for an evo 9, but first I'd like to know if it's true about replacing your tires every 12,000- 15,000 miles.
I'm thinking of trading in my 05 rsx-s because this car is full of problems (suspension, build quality, and transmission).
Has anyone here experienced any reliability issues? I really respect the evo for it's performance but want to make sure I won't be at the dealership every weekend fixing ****, like I do with my acura.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. While it seems like a lot of maintenance, it still seems like the right car for me.
If everything goes ok then I'll be back with pics of a lol

not to be confused w/cobra kai
and to get back on topic.. i personally think 12K is a little too soon. i've had my car roughly 10K miles, and i have plenty of tread left.. im thinking of rotating them next oil change though

Another thing to consider is the treadwear rating of the tire. IIRC, the stock Advans have a rating of 180. If you were content with perhaps cutting the performance of the car some, you could pop on some all seasons (sacrilege to some, but at $200+ per tire...), and get MUCH more tire-life out of a set.
