ok ok ok i know this has been covered a 10000 times but!!

Well its just not possible with a stock ECU to do that I'm sorry. No matter what your going to end up with some drivability issues tune or not. Its been done over and over just search.
The real problem is the way the computer sees airflow. We have a pull through system which means the Mass airflow unit (MAF) is before the turbo. Basically it can't really monitor air getting into the intake just the amount of air being sucked into the turbo which isn't the same when a BOV comes into play.
The problem simply is with a vent to atmosphere unit the air metered into the system isn't constant anymore. This confuses the computer because it believes you put so much air but its not there anymore thanks to your new BOV and thus promptly goes pig rich on the fuel mixture. The stock BOV keeps the air in the system so the airflow metered in doesn't actually change.
The two ways you can go are speed density which is used commonly with the AEM unit or blowthrough setups which can be done by maftpro.
Blow Through MAF:
- MAF unit is located in the Upper IC pipe
- Generally is a larger GM MAF unit controlled by Maftpro
Speed Density:
- No MAF unit period
- Uses RPM and a barometer to measure air intake into the engine
- Barometer is attached to the intake to monitor density of the incoming air
Do a search on maftpro for malibu jack's comments and experience with the unit.

vent to atmosphere bov gets boring REAL fast.
kids stuff..
No need for this **** mod to your car. If you reallly want it bad, Use your mouth everytime you shift.
No harm to your car + its free + u get to control your volume.

If the dv sound you can hear with the A'PEXi intake is too quiet, I don't know what to tell you. Mine is annoying as **** and I have to keep reminding myself that it's maintenance free to restrain from tossing it out of the car. That and the fact I'll be pushing 400whp soon and that's all the stock box is good for.
I'll be getting a Forge RS full recirc bov soon to handle the 30+psi but I'll let it know if it makes it any louder.

Look no further.
Why is that every kid thinks that having a loud blow off valve is cool? Personally I think it sound retarded and would get very annoying real fast. Not to mention it causes so many problems.
Now that I got that in, if you replace the bov your going to regret it. Your car simply won't run right.

If you want a nice BOV, look at the APS dual vent. Its a nice product, at a decent price as well. Also installation is a breeze, just takes about 5-10 minutes of your time.
