06 EVO IX RS 31K miles
Not many problems, not much I can blame on the car, just had some bad luck. Only really annoying problem is the intercooler hose popping lose, I mean I have had it happend like 6 times and it always happend at some of the worst possible moments, luckly it is a really quick fix and I am back on the road in about a couple of minutes.
Positive things-
Over 50 1/4 mile drag strip hard launches and over 300whp and 31,000 miles and still stock clutch. Although it is starting to slip, but I seriously did not expect it to last this long.
No major mechanical problems, everything is working fine. Although I do need to do my 30k service soon.

At about 80k miles, I think my starter is going out. Occassionally when I turn it over, it only clicks. If I try it a few more times, it solves the problem. Clutch went at 50k miles, but only after over 50 launches and a bunch of low 12 second, high 11 second passes. Also, engine damper wobbles like crazy.

I think I may be having similar problem at 3,500 miles. I can hear it when I am slowing to a stop ...its a low hum.
Did you notice it before it failed
Is this low hum (even in neutral) common??

The Mitsubishi dealership where I bought my IX a few months ago is gone! CLOSED!
Thanks for the letter (they did not send me) explaining what th hell was going on.
I guess I will have to find one in another city if my differential goes

My brakes started squeaking aroung 3,500 miles.Had the rotors resurfaced and it only happens sometimes.I now have this strange crackling noise which seems to be coming from inside the car.It sounds like it may be coming from under the dash.I also had the same problem with the steering wheel peeling at the bottom. Also my steering wheel was off center when I bought it new but by the time I decided to take it to the dealer I had already lowered the car.Other than that its fine.
