Front license plate bracket

I live in New York and unfortunately we need front license plates. I was wondering if anyone has the front bracket laying around and want to get rid of it. PM me if you have one to send me for a small fee if needed.

If you don't want the big bulky stock one a company called Beatrush makes a nice bracket that mounts in the factory points.

I would def buy that if I had the extra money to spend but the stock one is fine for now since they are cheap or if someone just wants to give it away.

One thing that bugged me the most about the stock plate holder was it never held the plate level. I even tried to modify it to level the plate off but after a while it would revert back to being uneven. I eventually gave up and bought the beatrush bracket and drilled the plate so it would be level to the ground. I hate crooked plates!

It's good that you're looking for this. I'm the second owner of mine, and the lot where I bought my car screwed the plate directly to the bumper. Can you believe that?!?! If I remember correctly, evodave has one for sale.

Ninja...I hear ya, after I purchased my 06 RR MR they took it to get detailed before I drove it off the lot. I didn't pay too much attention cause it was late and cold. The next Morn' I saw that thing and thought I'm taking that thing off. To my Horror I saw these 2 gigantic holes in my bumper. I caled and was very clear they had to do something. the sales guy got back and lower the selling price because of their screw-up. I'm gonna either fix it or cover the 2 holes with color matched vinyl circles. man those dealerships are pigs when it comes to the "thinking process" maybe they should ask before they pull out the drill and drill holes in a brand new almost 40K car.......

You don't have to screw it into the bumper though right?

You don't even need a bracket! Just remove and slide your plate infront of your lower IC grill and tie down with zip strips. J-rod from Buschur racing gave me the idea and it doesn't really interfer with airflow to the IC. I have been driving around with it like that for months with no problems.

If it interferes with airflow then why would you want to do that? So basically you're willing to let the engine run a little hotter so that you don't have to drill into the bumper? Got any pics of what it looks like?

I'd rather just throw the bracket on instead of taking that chance with the intercooler. Anyone have one for cheaper than 20?

I was actually about to make a thread about this. Does anyone know of a way of mounting a front plate on a IX without any sort of bracket? I'd like it to be easily removable for photo shoots, and will probably just keep it in my trunk unless I'm parking somewhere where I'm likely to get a ticket for not having one. They can' pull you over just for no front plate. Zip ties/magnets come to mind, but where to put the zip ties? A picture would be nice.

Luckily I have a friend who owns a body shop, and he was able to fill the holes for me. I ended up getting a new bracket from the dealership for free after yelling at the service guys for ruining the bumper.
