Changed Tranny fluid, 2nd gear hard to get into
Like the title says, I have about 15600 miles on the car, changed out tranny fluid with RP max gear 75w-90 and now second gear is really hard to get into, sometimes i almost gotta force it in. All gears are actually little harder to get into but not to noticable, second is the worst. Car had OEM fluid in there before. I read that people use the syncromesh RP but haven't heard much about the regular stuff. Any ideas? Maybe just weight of oil?

I've used Redline MT90 on all of my cars and never had any shifting problem. I will change the tranny fluid on my IX as soon as I put 3k miles on it. Right now I am still enjoying it on it's stock form.

After reading almost every thread regarding poor shifting or difficulty getting in and out of gear i found that most people run either OEM fluids, BG Synchroshift or Pennzoil Synchromesh. There are others who have gone with Redline or Motul and been fine but the majority run those three.
I personally like the OEM feel the best and have had a few slight problems with the synchromesh.

i se oem diaqueen its the best so far 75w-85 cause i tried bgII but after so much racing when i changed the oil out it had a little metal kind of teeth silver color i must of been on a misshift so i think bgII offers little protection i also used motul 75w-90 and gears where hard to put in so i stayed with diaqueen for me it works at its best.
search on bgII several members had there trannys fail due to using this fluid warrtalon was one of them i think.
stay oem fluids
