o2 housing install?

o2 housing install?

i have all the bolts off the o2 housing but the o2 sensor is still on and wont come off. Do i have to buy a new o2 sensor and cut the wires running to the o2 sensor? how do i do this thanks

Go to Autozone and get the o2 sensor removal tool. You can rent them there and they will not charge you. I just used one for my exhaust install a couple weeks ago. Works like a charm!

just put an open end wrench on there and fight till u break it lose...u can even spray some liquid wrench on there to losen the rust....but watever you do dont cut the wires, a new o2 sensor is about $300

yea, just go to your local auto parts store and get the 02 sensor socket

you can buy one for like 80 bux from napa.. so you can def go ahead and cut it.. but its best if you get the wrench and get some on the penetrator for rusty, tight bolts.. it will come off.. also you have to brace the housing somehow to get better leverage..

i bought a new o2 sensor and wired it up but one quick question do i use the stock gasket on the ss o2 housing thanks
