My right side ballast burned out one week after I installed em. Turns or the ballast is much more likely to get wet on the pass side. So I siliconed it up and repositioned it. Been good for a few months now. Knock on wood.

its weird because it goes on and off as I start the engine. funny thing I noticed is that when i turn on the headlamps real quickly (after I turn on engine) it usually turns on, but if I turn on the parking lights first and then the HIDs, sometimes the right side will not light up.

I believe Hid bulbs require an igniter to light them up. That might be your problem if so equipped. Its sometimes installed in the ballast and also as a component on the outside of the ballast.

When igniters go bad you'll experience the symptoms you have.

Good luck!

I think the relay in your ballast is not really stable. It is probably a poor quality ballast.

^^ finally reinstalled my HID and found out that the HID power adapter that connects to the oem power adapter is loose, so i pinched it between the fender wall and some cables coming from the fuse box. Now i have no problems, turns on all the time in one try and never goes out.
