Looking To Buy An Evo Or Sti
#17
I thought of the STi just like you said, a big brute street fighter, while the Evo is more like a well-trained martial artist - ready to unleash hell at a moment's notice.
That's how I experienced them anyway. In the end, I'm a vain man and decided on the Evo mostly for the sexy-as-hell looks. On the outside. For the inside, maybe after some time goes by, I would mount sport gauges on the a-pillar, do the double din console conversion and put in an avic z1 navi system. Have many people done this? Hopefully I will be ready to pick up a Graphite Gray '06 MR within about two months!

"And they lived happily ever after" .
I sold my '05 STI thinking of getting the '07 but I ended up getting this '06 EVO IX SSL. I just liked the feelings of driving an EVO, IMHO EVO is just the way to go.

I have drove about half a dozen of STis modded and stock and they do not compare to the EVO. I will say this though, the STi is much more quieter and smoother daily driver.
As far as the cars falling apart at 30k, my friend's EVO has 80k or 88k and it still runs very strong. I guess it all depends on how well you maintain it.

I have 46,000 miles on my car and have not encountered any problems yet. They are both awesome cars and no matter what car you go with, something is bound to break eventually.

It's a hard decision but I went with raw looks and potential rather than a beast. I like well trained martial artists better and therefore, I'm a proud evo owner with 18k on the car.
