fuel injector cleaner

howz over the counter fuel injector cleaner? like the ones pepboys, autozone, chevron sells? are they safe to use? do they work? any recommended fuel injector cleaner??

Pretty much you get what you pay for,don't go cheapo and you will be ok.

they are not bad.
Best is to remove them and send them off to be cleaned

I use seafoam once every 25k miles just to clean crap out. However, other people have received good results with chevron techron.

There's a product from Redline Oil called SI-1 that works
great and also has other benefits as well. But having them
professionally cleaned and tested will ensure more consistent
results everytime.

The lucas octane boost works great. Put one bottle in half tank and filled up. Getting better gas mileage. It boosts octane, cleans injectors, etc. +1 in my book. Lucas tune up in a bottle is good to-$3.00 for a tiny bottle but it does evrything except boost octane.

I've used lucas upper cylinder lub/cleaner and seafoam. First time I ran lucas I could tell a difference.

chevron is good stuff! bg injector service works well too! i forget the name but some one chime in if they know, snap-on has a service machine thats suppose to be very good!

alot of people run a bottle when they change the oil.

I run BG MI 3000
I get usually about 30-40 more miles per tank
when I removed my head everything looked very clean
no carbon
