Take notice of the temperature they use where ever you get it done, or better yet ask them if it will effect the strenght of the rim. There is talk of powdercoating weakening the metal or compromising the integrety of the rim due to the high heat used in powdercoating.

I had my stock 8's powdercoated gloss black. I think it was like 50 bucks a rim. Powdercoating looks so nice. some people ask me what kind of aftermarket rims I have. lol.

I just posted this in some other thread about powdercoating but I thought Id mention it here too, Don't drip any gas on the wheel when filling up, it eats the powdercoat right off the wheel.

Take careful note of what V.8MR is saying here. If the powder coater doesn't use a low-temp process specifically for aluminum you'll find yourself with a very brittle wheel.

However, a good shop who deals with powder coating wheels on a regular basis should already know this stuff. Just be sure to verify it with them.

Read these FAQ's about sandblashing before powder coating.
