mitsubishi financing rates?
hey guys, just curious what kind of financing rates you guys are getting through mitsu on your evos?
my credit is stellar and in the mid to high 700's. im looking at potentially picking up an evo late summer or early fall, but it really depends on financing. i saw something on mitsu's website about 9.9% for new vehicles and i think that is outrageous. i pay 7% for my Lightning and i bought it used and used is always much higher than new.. im hoping for good news because i cant see paying that high of an interest rate for a new vehicle ( would be able to afford it either )
thanks

my first car was about 7 years ago and i got 13.9% on it and it was used.. that was insane. my nissan i got 3.9% (this was 4 years ago) because i have good credit.. this is the type of rate i would expect with good credit, if not better.. im hoping mitsu is reasonable in this dept.

Never go through dealership financing unless they're offering financing specials like 0% or 1.9 or even 2.9.
Your best bet would be to go a credit union. They usually have the best rates. If you're eligible for Navy Federal Credit Union they're at 5% right now, pre-approval blank check style. There are other national federal credit unions that have lax eligibility rules that you can join online and get pre-approved at under 6%. It gives you the power to negotiate w/ the dealership as well.

9.9% is a general number. It low ***** bad credit and high ***** for good credit.
If you're in the 700's I'd expect about 7% for 6 years. Higher for longer terms, lower for shorter terms.

I just bought my Evo IX two weeks ago and they didn't have any special financing rates available. So, I went with Capital One Auto Finance and got a 6.69% rate for 72 months. Check them out. You get a "blank" check so you walk into the dealership as a cash buyer and can make a hard offer for the car and tell them you'll write the check right then and there. Worked for me and I got a killer deal that way because I threatened to walk. Good luck!

Sorry to burst your bubble
But you will absolutley not get anywhere close to 1.9% on the EVO. Notice the website says "Lancer" with no mention of the Evo. I think the best you can get from Mistu right now on the 2006's is very low 7's%. Assuming credit above 700.
Credit union might be worth looking at for a point or so...

I've got excellent credit. My M3 was 2.75% from the credit union. I now have a 7.35% interest rate for 60 months on the EVO. Meh... I'll probably refinance it through my CU down the road.
Oh, and the 1.9% offer only applies to the regular Lancer.
