Ok please dont trip about this thread but im really hungry for knowledge in regards to the Evo.

Will I benifit from using a Boost controller on a stock Evo?
If i were to get one what would i benift from getting it? I know it ups the boost and what not but what is a factory boost set at on a VIII and what could i put it max at stock.
What mods will make the EBC or MBC benificial.

Boost gauge is a must. The Buschur/Warrtalon Package takes the guess work out of initial modding.

No-No's are, as follows: 1)K&N Typhoon intake, as well as, 2) various other intakes, and, 3)aftermarket BOV's in general.

boost gauge for sure. it's not even that you need to up your boost a whole lot, but it does help eliminate some of the top end taper the evo has stock.

Just get a Hks ebc V or Greddy ebc, shows your psi on the screen. If you're getting an 8, get a JDM mr bov. Holds up to 25psi before it starts to leak. The stock bov on the 8's are plastic just to let you know. For intake, just grab a dropin preferably Works or K&N. Like sparky suggested, go w/ a package, it'll seriously make it easier for ya. Just please don't get a HKS ssq. bov, haha. It's funny how many threads are started about that particular bov.
