White rabbit turbo

Could someone tell me what is a white rabbit turbo? I have looked and the only thing i see is that is has a different wheel or something like that. So what makes a white rabbit turbo better or different then a factory Evo 8 or 9 turbo?

it came out about 1.5 years ago, from forced performance . will run a little more boost than stock , spools nice, a nice step up from stock, outdated for the money by the green (that's an unobserved observation)

If you insist: The White Rabbit is manufactured by Forced Performance in Texas. These are the same people that bring us the 20G-LT/EvoGreen, as well.

The original White Rabbit(WR-8)used an Evo VIII compressor housing. The WR-9, you guessed it, uses an Evo IX compressor housing.

The real nitty-gritty is inside where the White Rabbits employ an aluminum billet, 5-bladed, 20G compressor wheel which is larger than the stock turbo's 16G wheel. On the hotside the White Rabbit uses the TiAl turbine wheel from the TME turbo.

The only significant difference between the WR-9, and the newer 20G-LT, is that they each use different turbine wheels, otherwise they are the same.

The TME 6.5 is not the same thing as the White Rabbit. The TME is the same exact turbo as yours except it has a titanium turbine and the 10.5 turbine housing. But, the compressor doesn't flow anymore air than your stock turbo.

The White Rabbit IX(WR-9)has a larger compressor wheel, inside the IX compressor housing, along with the titanium turbine wheel. It is a pretty torquey turbo. And there are guys getting over 400WHP/400tq on 93 with it.

Theoretically at least, the White Rabbit IX's compressor should flow the same as the 20G-LT/Evogreen, as it has the same identical compressor side. There is probably a bit more back pressure due to the smaller turbine wheel. However, because of the smaller lighter turbine wheel it should spool faster.

Forced Performance doesn't list the WR-9 as a regular catalog item. It would have to be special ordered. If you call and talk to Robert at FP, he'll try and talk you into ordering a Evogreen instead, though.

So would it be smart to try and find a WR 9 turbo? or is it a waste of money?

its a great improvement on stock, I see used ones on the market, if you trust the seller they would be a nice deal. I like my WR but given the current offerings, might go for the green if did not already own a WR.
