^^thats the IX dv. You can find it cheaper on this site. It holds about 26psi.

 

I have seen a 24-25 psi reading on my Defi gauges using my stock blow off valve, not sure that is accurate though

 

most likely your plastic stock bov is leaking (ive seen them leak at 10psi, causing the turbo to work all that much harder). the 9 bov can hold up to 25psi

 

stock VIII bov leak under almost anything. even though you upgrade your bov doesn't mean your turbo will keep up. stock 03-04 VIIIs will taper to 17-19psi while an 05 will be slightly higher and stock 9s around the same unless you have an upgraded wastegate actuator.

If you have to replace your stocker that is the way to go. +1 on finding it cheaper on this sight though. Always check th forsale forums first.
