definitely not an empty tank

maybe a 1/4 or something but not completely empty that'd be a waste of time

My ssl was just about 3500 when it went on the scale. I'm 195 lbs. I had about 1/4 tank of gas in the car.

I read on the Japanese Evo magazine that for opitmal performance, the gas tank should be at 1/2.

I would agree with that for road racing. But for the 1/4 less weight is obviously optimal

mine bone stock with no spare tire and jack or floor mats was 3110 on digital scales at drag strip. Figure 50 lbs for the 3/4 tank of fuel and another 30-40 for spare tire and jack/tools, 5 lbs for mats your right around 3210 full, so not far off listed weight of 3219.
