well nowadays the regular ones have the GG color too so that makes things more confusing. since every GG color i see i assume that they are MRs.

last time we had a dyno day we had like 8-9 GG MR s

RR used to be hot color but not anymore.

you vin# will tell you your production #. Look at mitsubishi website, there is a link explaining the meaning of the vin#
As for how many they made total, Im not sure how you find that information out?

I have an 8 MR. But it is becoming far from stock. The "rareity" is not going to play into the resale value of mine because its been all done up. But i think that a stock 05 MR will hold value and possibly be a collector in about 20 years.

The 05/Evo were the only true MR made...the 9's were MR Packages.....totally different.

Interesting...Look at your sales information/window sticker... does it say MR Package on it?

The 05/Evo 8 was marketed as "Evolution 8 MR"

a lot of people wanted it so they extended it to the IX's

I could careless what people prefer....I didnt want an MR...but opted for the SSL package.

In your case why not buy a GSR since it comes with mivec and "better turbo?"
