Protecting rims in winter
I was wondering if there was any way to protect my rims from the salt and other harsh conditions of winter. I considered putting my stock oz rims back on but they have such poor tread I'd really hate to do it. Any suggestions to keep my rims nice and shiny or should I stick with stock this coming winter?

im going to give you advise that seems hardcore but then again your asking for a hardcore answer.....
1.before winter comes, get a nice thick coat of wax on your wheels (no fancy wax is necessary, turtlewax will do fine). brake dust and salt will sit and eat at your wax, NOT the clearcoat or polished metal. remember, wax does NOT last couple month like they advertise when water, heat, brake dust and salt is thrown at it. wax it every 2 weeks about during the salt seasons.
2.dont let salt sit for more then a few days, clean it off even sooner if possible. if u have a garage or just use it for an hour its good enough to spray it down with a mist of warm water and wipe it down(mentioned warm water since im assuming it may be pretty cold and possibly iced). salt and brake dust comes off EASY if its just sitting on waxed surface, brake dust cleaners are for lazy folks who dont do it right in the first place and get crap baked on good.
if ur as **** as i am, u'll get ur wheels surviving many winters in perfect condition.
