Problem
im 16 i just recently bought a 06 lancer es.
about 5 months ago to be exact.
i was kind of talked into buying the car..i wanted a ralliart or something faster because i knew es's were so slow. i thought about saving up for a turbo kit, a catback exhaust, a body kit. the whole works.
but i think thats going to waste way to much money and time.
cause its automatic first of all.
but basically i kinda want to get another car. but i dont think its really possible since i just got this one. i was looking at srt-4s and rsxs maybe a mazda 3 or something idk. do you guys have any suggestions on what i should do? cause i really want a faster car.

1st: the title to this thread is "Problem"
How is having a car at 16 a problem?
How is wanting a faster car at 16 a problem?
2nd: YOU ARE 16.
Live a few more years, take whatever money you get from mommy and daddy as allowance and save it up to buy an Evo of your choice once you turn 18.
I don't apologize for the flaming, you need to grow up and realize that you are 16 and have a world of opportunity ahead of you that is bigger than some dumb car.

I too was once in the same boat as yourself in a way. I was 16, wanted to drive fast. Drove fast because I was stupid *** immature kid and rolled my 2001 Cavalier LS over a hill and totaled it... cops told me it was a miracle I wasn't hurt in any way or killed.
One totaled car, a $120 ticket, and 2 points against my license, two months after getting it.
That was 2 years ago a few days ago. No accidents, no tickets since then. Now drive an 02 Cavalier. Plan on buying an Evo next summer. You'll learn.

First off post in the right forum. Post in the Lancer General forum, more guys will talk to you. There is plenty you can do with your Lancer ES to make it a fun, safe and great learning car.
I doubt at 16 your ready to jump into a sports car... stick with what you got, learn as much as you can and espically be happy that you aren't driving a Honda.

hey
my advice is just stick it out about 2 years and save your money.
its a 2ltr auto so good fuel economy(my RA burns thru fuel like n e thing)
if u really want u can go back to the dealer and see if u can swap for a manual, but u will loose money, i have an auto (also talked into it) and was gonna swap, but then i would have been out a few grand, so it wasnt worth it, plus auto isnt so bad(esp late night driving)
so keep it for 2 years, save ur money, then when the new RA(4wd turbo) comes out, u can get one of those if u can afford, or im sure a few people will be selling there 04-06 RA, and u can pick one up cheap(and add turbo as required)
