yup, what evo150 said, get rid of the SAFC. You can sell if for a good amount on ebay and then buy yourself a tactrix cable from www.tactrix.com, download ecuflash from www.openecu.org and retune your stock ECU. There is nothing more reliable for engine management than the stock ecu, it has for more points of adjustability than the SAFC ever could.
Check out the EcuFlash section of the engine management forum here for more info, really interesting stuff.

Great info. What do you think I could get for that SAFC? I don't really know much about them. I will look into the ecuflash... It sounds like the same type of program (HPtuners) that my shop tuned my Z28. Decent, reliable power is what I am after. What are the Teins worth? Is going to a Swift or Eibach spring going to be a noticeable difference from stock? Will I more likely than not have to replace the struts (if so which should I consider and how much?) The thought of having springs on my car that have no functional advantage over stockers except aesthetics nauseates me.

i would rather buy a car with a few mods , but be able to talk to the owner and feel him out, rather then buy a stock evo 8 in a dealer. I personally know of 5 evos that were modded to the max, alchy etc. then put back to stock and handed in.
