hks 272 cams and tune

I want to have my cams installed and have the car dyno tunned, however i can not afford the dyno tune at this very monment. would driving a camed car without a tune be detrimental to the engine?

If you have cams and no tune please stay out of the throttle and out of the boost because you will screw things up. I personally run HKS 272s in my Evo and the day I got the cams installed I got a tune as well. If your a controlled person then get the cams in just dont get in it. However, if your not then wait until you can afford the cams and tune together.

If you cannot afford the dyno tune dont even install the cams. Wait until you can do everything at once. That way if anything happens you can go back to the place who put them in and tuned them. If you do cams now and tune later and something goes wrong they can blame you stating you never got a tune with the cams.

A dyno tune is not the only way to get tuned for cams.

PM me if you have any questions.

Hey Pork Roll,
You are about 30 minutes from Ivey tune in Elizabeth NJ, who can install and tune for what you would pay for install only.
