If you didn't have an EVO, what would you have and why?

In all honesty and trying to be realistic (with what I could afford), I'd probably be very interested in a BMW 135i. Although I was a bit disappointed in seeing it in person, I still like it and realize it has a lot of potential. If not a 135i, then I'd try to get a hold of another 3000GT VR4 (I'd prefer a 1998-1999). If not a 3000GT VR4, then I'd get a used 2003-2004 Mercedes C32 AMG or a used BMW M3. I have no problem going used if I really like a car.

FAIL!
so anyways... I wonder if an EVO is as expensive to maintain as an E46 M3? If so it's hands down the E46 M3. I love the TT Supra but honestly I don't think I could put up with the insides of a 13-15 year old Toyota for a DD... besides it screams MONEY PIT!!! So much potential can often be bad. But with $2000 exhausts that get you 5whp and bladdy bla the BMW is TEH WINNAHZZZ! Plus you can get one for like hmm..$23-26 souzand dollhairs nowz

Since I came from a STi I would probably go back to them trying to pick up a JDM version 5 or 6. Otherwise a Porsche Boxster S or used Cayman. I would do a Skyline but too much money for a R34.
