LOL 100-200 are you out your mind I live in a smaller size city in Western Massachusetts with a clean driving record 20 years old and I am paying 2,200 a year for a little old O-Z Rally, the quote on an Eclipse GT for me was 3,000 It will cost you an arm an a leg depending on where you live, INSURANCE SUCKS!!!!!!

I called my insurance agent today to ask how much it would cost to ensure a WRX. I got a quote of approximately $862 per year. From there, I asked about the EVO, I asked him if by his experience he could give me an idea. I give him the consensus around this board, about HP, AWD, Turbo and so forth. He told me that it would be very difficult to guess, however that the figures should not change immensely because of the Horse Power alone. he said that several other things will be considered when coming up with a price. He told me, by what I told him, and his experience, he would not be surprised if the cost went up
to $1000 per year. I did not think this was too bad!! What do you guys think? Is he way wrong?
Any current EVO owners in the US willing to share their info?
Thanks

I'm just south of Chicago and I run through Allstate. I don't have all my stuff in front of me, so I can't give you deductable info or anything, but I pay 160 a month on my OZ. Please note that I am 21 and have a clean record, but since I'm not female, I'll get reamed on insurance costs.
Let me put it this way, if I was under 21, this car would cost me around 250 a month. Now think of the fact that you're 18. Good luck.

I will guess 300 a month. Not a car an 18 year old should own anyway. Inexperienced young drivers wrecking their cars is one reason insurance shoots up. The Wrx insurance cost wasn't too bad for most when they first came out...now their on the rise because of people wrecking them. I'm kind of glad the Evo will be priced out of the range of most teenagers. I know I wouldn't have paid 800+ a month (car + insurance) for a car when I was a teen.

In Des Moines Iowa, when I got my new 1998 GSX at the age of 22 4 years ago, I was paying 190 a month, I was quoted up to $300 a month at the time(with no previous insurance history, but a clean record) 4 years later today, I pay $80 a month for the same car, still with clean history.
