Well if she ran the light so did you....Therefore you are at fault for failure to yield. Did you tell the cop she ran the light but I didnt?

i don't mean to be rude, but when the light is green you pull into the intersection to get ready to turn,

if there is too much traffic to turn while the light is green you then HAVE TO

(it is illegal to sit in the middle of an intersection blocking traffic)

turn once the light is yellow or red depending on when the oncoming traffic stops.

I don't think i needed to tell you this though? Do you sit in the middle of intersection blocking the opposite direction of traffic? 'Cause that's not how we do it in Detroit.

I'm just sayin, No i didn't run the light, i had the right to turn and if i didn't turn i would have just been sitting in the middle of an intersection blocking traffic, and that's illegal.

And i didn't get to tell that blanketty blank cop nothing cause he wouldn't even give me the time of day.

Dude, take pictures of everything. Put together a letter describing precisely what happened (I mean in the greatest amount of detail, even conversations with the tow truck driver etc), try to put together a time line as a part of it. Make a copy of the letter, get it notarized (which will require a signature) and then send one notarized signed copy via certified mail to the tow truck company. Keep the other certified copy.

If/when this ends up in court with the two truck company, having a clear concise statement of events will absolutely help your case.

Also, fight the ticket in any way possible.

Your insurance will go up regardless, but a no fault is better than an at fault on your record.

Thanks, for the advice. that sounds like a fantastic idea.

sorry to hear about that man, hope everything works out for you. If you get a good amount of money for the car then I would just walk out with that and possibly buy it back and do a big part out.

unfortunately michigan is a no-fault state. that means whether it was her fault or not, your insurance still pays.

1) make sure you get reimbursed as much as possible by other drivers insurance
2) dispute your points if possible
3) you obviously have proof of the tow man screwing your car w/ the picture, so sue him. he didnt listen to you or anyone else, he deserves to be brought down.

Between the money you get from the tow guy being an idiot & insurance, you might be able to get another evo.

Good luck, I hate to see someone get jipped esp because of age.

I'm sorry but some sort of violence would of insued between me and the tow truck driver in your case. Should of spit in his face or popped his tire so he couldnt go anywhere. >
