Needed a 4-door that had actual rear seat room, was relatively quick, handled well, not bad on gas, and could be driven in 4 season.

That's asking a lot, but luckily the Evo fit the criteria perfectly. Otherwise..I would have bought a car that was lacking in one of those departments.

I bought the Evo because it was practical....4 doors, trunk, AWD; had a baby on the way. Became less practical when (expensive) maintainence came into play.

I did not know what came over me nor did I remember when I bought the car. I sort of went to the dealer, saw the car, and took it home.

The "practical" thought did not settle in til much later.

Yep. Needed a DD for bad weather days when I couldn't take the bike. Also needed something to get groceries and drive the GF around. So, mostly.

i was thinking into the future when I'm married with kids...yes, very practical indeed. But in the meantime, it's also a great chick magnet
...well, a better chick magnet than the beat up integra I had before with no A/C...

Compared to the 350Z I traded to get my Evo, it is certainly a more practical vehicle. I couldn't see anything behind me while trying to back up in the Z. Its pretty much useless to take on a long trip since it has barely any luggage space. The Evo is more practical in every way and the fact that it can smoke the Z is just an added bonus.
