my evo 8 threw a freeze plug

my evo 8 threw a freeze plug...what couldve made this happen...i was down shifting to third to get on the freeway than ill kinds of antifreeze shot at my window....what could of caused this???

alot of pressure will cause that to happen

You could have blown your head gasket for one to make it happen.

Pressure could build up if ther was a block in the water jacket. Are you sure it is a freeze plug, that is very uncommon.
