You will also see reduced mileage when using an ethanol blended fuel ... most stations are carrying this fuel now. Drops in mileage should only be about 3% though.

I've also got a feeling that some of these calculations are being based on the size of the tank, which many people still think is 12 gallons. The Evo has a 14.5 gallon tank and you really need to do your calculations as mentioned earlier in the thread ...

Fill up
Reset the trip
On the next fill up, divide the trip mileage by the actual gallons you just pumped in

The most I've ever gotten was about 25.5 mpg. That was like 95% highway driving in 6th with about a 15.6:1 AFR. I got 330 on the tank and the light was on for about 35 miles before I stopped.

I've been watching mine like crazy since I bought it a month ago. 260 miles after using 12 gallons, that was mostly city. And now I just got 310 miles with about 12 gallons which was mostly highway.

My personal best was today's fill up with 375 miles. you have to drive like a princess though. that still only averages at 27.5 mpg.

I would love to know how people are getting 300 in stock trim. I get 220-240 city and 250-270 highway.

I've been keeping track of my fuel purchases/economy since day one with the car. This is the bottom line of my 2007 spreadsheet. Every tank of gas is accounted for, pretty much. Hopefully it'll do a damn sight better than 17 mpg after I get flashed next week (I drive mostly city).

edit: I just noticed all the dates say 2008. Should be 2007. Obviously.

Why do you have so many entries that are nice round values like $30.00 and $20.00? Are you not filling up the tank until the pump automatically turns off?

Yeah, I used to do that more often than fill the tank. Now I usually just fill it to the top.

i always reset the cluster and always divide miles travled to gallons bought

life time average is about 17-18mpg. every single evo owner i meat gets less than 20 mpg. the evo is a sub 20 mpg car.

i have no idea how ppl are claiming 30+ miles per tank and mpg in the upper 20's. and frankly i don't believe it

if you push it in boost most of the time you will average 11-12 mpg, just like my 5.7 Aspen.
