What size intercooler do i need????????????
So i went on Extemeturbosystems.com and found out the the anodized black intercooler comes in 3", 3.5" and 4"..... so what size do i need? before i put it on i will have a BC at 22 psi, catback, downpipe with o2 housing, maybe S1s, intake, walbro 255, LICP, turbo timer, gauges.... so witch one would work best and look closest to stock so when i go get smogged i pass.

k cool, then i was told that before an intercooler and cams, i should have around 310 to 320 WHP, and with cams 340 to 350 WHP, is this true, and how much without cams, but with an intercooler and how much with all of it, lol, so its easyer to understand
my setup Buschur BC(at 22 psi) and licp, HKS intake and catback, Titek DP and o2 housing, Walbro 255...
cams GSC S1s
Intercooler ETS 3" anodized black
How much WHP with my basic setup and a good tune?(no cams, no intercooler)
How much WHP with an intercooler?(no cams, but with my other setup)
How much with everything?(cams, intercooler, and my setup)

oh ok, thanks, i was refering to the modding for dummys, it says a 3" will decrease the chances of heatsoak, and provide minimal gains, so i was gonna get one anyways.

Landis the stock intercooler is for stock evo's when you run more boost, more air flow the turbo and engine work much harder and depend on the intercooler. The stock one is good for 400whp but you'll notice in the summer and maybe the winter your going to experience tremendis heat soak that robs alot of power and the car is not going to make all it's potential power.3inch is big enough just remember when ording make the option for widetank it like's really nice on the car it fill's in the hole bumper cutout. With a aggresive tune no intercooler 355whp if it a freak,365whp with intercooler, and for the hole setup 385whp with alot of tq,this based on dynojet dyno.

No one will notice only you the only diffrence is it just fill's in those empty corner area's on side of the bumper were the intercooler meet's the cutout's.The anodized look's so much better then the black one.

Just go with the anodized so don't have headache's later on plus the black is suppose to look stealth but poeple know evo 's form the factory don't come with black intercooler's so for that it's point less, and it look's cheap too.
